PLUM (Product Lookup Universal Management) is Invatron's scale management solution for PLU and price administration. It has been installed in over 9000 grocery stores throughout North America and Australasia. PLUM has continuously evolved over the last 12 years, keeping pace with industry change. It is a singularly robust and field-proven application that can manage data from all your in-store weighing and labeling equipment.

PLUM provides a single point of control throughout the entire enterprise; from your headquarters price and item data, to store equipment, to scale and printer operators on the floor. Properly distributing this information at the right time, solves a number of problems like preventing pricing errors when an ad break occurs. Two applications are currently available, with a third on the way.

• PLUM Store - for in-store scale management.
• PLUM Enterprise - for centralized price management.
• ePLUM - for distributed network computing (release due in 2002).

PLUM supports many operating system, database and hardware combinations. It manages and distributes data over a variety of networking technologies such as RS-232, RS-485, Ethernet and Radio Frequency (R/F) using standard industry protocols like TCP/IP. This level of flexibility makes it easy to move to new platforms as your in-store environment changes.
